AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Shenyang City University Music Video
This music video was a promotional project created for Shenyang City University. With a team of two other international students, our goal was to create a music video for the campus to air for other potential students to watch during open house tours. We coordinated many events and worked with over a hundred students and teachers to put together this video that showcases the many activities that Shenyang City University has to offer for their students. The theme and school anthem, "Wo Xing Wo Neng (I Believe I Can)," was used because we wanted the students to see that if they believe in themselves, anything is possible.
Public Relations Campaign Projects
These campaign projects for Planet Rehab, Make-A-Wish, Starbucks, and Fullerton Parks & Recreation were part of internships I completed over the years. Each one allowed me to implement my own strategies and plans into the campaign as well as challenge me differently each time. After completing these projects, I have improved my professional skills in public relations and have developed my abilities with: successfully working with a team of other PR interns, social media engagement, content creation, and campaign design. In all, this valuable work experience has shown me what it's like to work in public relations and with clients from different backgrounds.

Event Planner for the CSUF Adventure Club
From large group activities to fundraisers, here are a couple events that I have planned over the years while working for the CSUF Adventure Club. During my term as club president I organized a variety of different types of events associated with the club including: camping trips, promotional events, fundraisers, Inter-club bonfires, kayaking trips, rock climbing events, and much more.

In the summer of 2016, I was offered an internship opportunity at Planet Rehab (an environmental nonprofit organization in San Dimas, CA.) Having previous experience working with nonprofits, Planet Rehab wanted me to create a PR campaign that would build awareness of their new Rainforest Initiative Project which aims to help prevent deforestation from happening in Costa Rica and the Amazon Rainforests.
The goal of the campaign was to grow awareness of the environmental issues happening to our rainforest in Central/ South America and to inform the public of Planet Rehab's plan to build an animal sanctuary in Costa Rica that will be a combatant against the rise of deforestation and the harm it inflicts towards the animals living there. To do this, we needed a fundraiser that would attract attention globally and so we created a Giving Tuesday Fundraiser with this mission as the cause.
- Awareness and interest in Generations events increased in the downtown Fullerton area. - OC Register, OC Weekly, and the Fullerton Observer generated media attention towards the Generations program

Among the many trips I organized for the CSUF Adventure Club, the trip to the Grand Canyon remains to be one of the largest ever coordinated for them. With over 20 campers, I had to plan the logistics, the meal plans for the guests, and which activities they were going to see. By the end of the event, it was a success and is still talked about today.
- Posted messages on different social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) informing members of the event. - Planned transportation to and from Grand Canyon - Created a set budget for the entire event - Organized club equipment for members who needed camping equipment
- Signed up many new students to the Adventure Club - Since this event is free and at the beginning of the semester, many students go and meet new friends who then sign up for the club - Created word-of-mouth among students at CSUF to join the Adventure Club

This mock press release for Hong Kong Disneyland was a business writing course assignment. The intention for this press release was to notify the media of an accident involving the death of child that occurred at the park.
As the lead PR intern at Planet Rehab, I was also the head editor for all press releases being created by the other interns. This press release for Planet Rehab's "Christmas Around The World" event was co-written by me and one other intern and was featured on the front page of San Dimas Community News
During my term as president of the CSUF Adventure Club, I created several flyers and posters for them including this one here. Each flyer made a huge impact on the club by attracting attention and increasing attendance to each event thanks to the convenient date info, pleasing look to it, and easy to access QR code that linked readers to the club's website.

Writing Samples
Various Media Materials
Throughout the course of my studies at CSUF, I have had the opportunity to practice writing various media materials for all kinds of situations. From news releases informing the public of a new cruiseline to posting event information on different social media platforms. Each of these samples, in their own way, accomplished the goal at hand and informed their target audiences.

Internal Communications Projects
While I might not have much experience with internal communications, my time with Anillo Industries definitely made up for it when I was assigned a company wide campaign for updating Anillo's procedures for export compliance and creating a new ITAR Department. Working on this project gave me experience with communicating to all levels of management and departments within a company and create procedures that would change the way they did business for the better.
Led site-wide employee communications for a 100+ employee company where there was a mixture of factory workers, managers, and various office department teams. Early on with my employment with Anillo, I was tasked with updating their export compliance procedures and informing the entire company of the new regulations.
- Created a monthly email process that informed Anillo employees of changes (if any) or important news on export compliance. - Reclassified all ITAR controlled items, organize all ITAR/EAR technical data, and had it available to view (by hard copy and electronic.) - Initiated a screening process for disbarred countries and companies, which refreshed every month. - Conducted an annual ITAR compliance audit to identify any weaknesses (if any) in the compliance process.
- Improved employee understanding of export compliances - New screening process made selling parts abroad easier and faster with the quick look-up system I created - Employees could solve export issues on their own with the creation of the ITAR Guidebook available to them on any office computer or hard copy stored in their department - Entire export department was up-to-date with all current regulations
